Use Robots, Bless People

Whatever you do with automation, don't do THIS

The robots can help.

I’m not sure where I first heard this, but it has become one of my core values: “use money, and love people – not the other way around.”

Money is a tool, and it can be a game-changing helper. But like any tool, it makes a terrible lover.

Robots are the same way.

Automation is essentially building a system that does what people used to do, typically with software or hardware (such as robotics).

Don’t turn your back on humanity while hiking this trail.

Treat automation as a way to bless your employees with more bandwidth, not to replace them with AI.

If you can remove the robot-like tasks from your team, they will be given the freedom to flourish as only humans can: with creativity and “organic” intelligence.

Let humans be less robotic, and more human.

Onward and upward,
