So, What’s the Plan?

Making a plan is different than just having a trail map...

This is where the rubber meets the road.

In Profit Hiker we talk about sticking to a trail map, but that’s not a “Plan”. A Plan involves more detail than just the map.

If you have been on a hike, you know that a hiking plan involves:

  • what you’re wearing

  • what the weather is expected to be

  • what time you depart

  • how much food to bring

  • how long should the breaks be

  • how long should this hike take from start to finish

(A Plan should also account for unforeseen adversity.)

Once you pick a trail, Plan out how you are going to go about that journey – and be realistic. You still have a business to run, not to mention all of your other responsibilities in life.

Make a plan before you hit the trail!

Onward and upward,
