Questions That Light You Up
Today's the day to spark a fresh idea for your business
Let’s do a little exercise.
Every now and then it’s worth taking a big step back from the day-to-day of your business to rethink the relationship you have with your customers.
In corpo-jargon they call it mapping your “Customer Journey”.
In plain language, you’re just trying to figure out where you fit in their life. They have a need, a pain, a hope, a dream, a desire – and they hire you.
When? And Why?
And is there a way to be part of their life before or after the sale?
Ask yourself these questions, and write down as many answers as you can come up with:
What pains do my current customers have before and after they buy my products or services?
What needs do my current customers have before and after they buy my products or services?
What desires do my current customers have before and after they buy my products or services?
How can I make my current customers’ lives easier and better before or after a current sale?
Review all of these answers. What jumps off the page? Why?
And then wrap up this exercise with the game-changing question:
What products or services make sense to bundle together for customers?
