Measuring Up
Do you know your KPI's, and can you actually report them accurately?
If you don’t have measurable goals, you are doomed to overspend.
In marketing speak they’re often referred to as “Key Performance Indicators” (KPI). What is the one metric that is most important to your marketing campaign, the primary yard stick to measure success by?
Is it traffic to your website?
Inbound phone calls?
New sales of this product or that service?
Overall revenue?
Net profit?
Make sure you know what is most important before you begin, and be certain that you can measure and report it with accuracy.
With marketing campaigns, you can overspend in a hurry. Be careful with what you spend, along with where and when you spend it.
Efficiency is key, and it takes time and attention to accomplish that.
