Give, and Get
The link between profit and generosity is strong...
When you build a healthy business, it gives you lots of options. One of these options is to give back into your community.
The United States is one of the most generous nations in the world both by total amount as well as per capita, but even so our annual giving averages just $1,204 per person.
From my experience in various communities, business owners are throwing the curve here. If there’s a youth sports team that needs uniforms, small business owners step up to the plate. If a parade or fireworks show needs funding, small business owners sponsor the event. Non-profit fundraisers often feature both local sponsors, as well as the owners themselves showing generosity that goes above and beyond.
Your community needs your business to be healthy.
Small business owners often feel like the caretakers of their community. Your community needs you!
But generosity is directly linked to profitability.
You can only give from what you have.
It is our responsibility as business owners to first make sure that our business is healthy so that we can give back. If you don’t take care of your business, not only are you unable to be helpful, but you also become a burden to those around you.
Take control of your destiny!
