Automation, with the click of a button.

A great example of simple automation was shared with me when I sold a business.

I was to train the new owner on my operations, and also provide materials so that he could effectively train others in the future.

So I started planning an in-person session when he stopped me, and asked me to simply screencast it and save the videos.

I was blown away by this simple idea.

I had been sitting down one-on-one with our employees and training them the same way for seven years, and it had never once occurred to me to record one single session to save time and effort down the road.

We are talking about hundreds of hours of opportunity cost (another word for “hidden profit”) completely wasted because I simply never thought of it.

These days, you can bet that I take this repeatable, scalable mentality into every single training session I create.
